For the past two years, artificial intelligence (AI) has been on everyone’s lips — with both wonder and fear. This innovation crosses the boundaries of science fiction to emulate, and perhaps surpass, the quintessence of Homo sapiens: the brain. It therefore raises ethical, socio-economic, legal, and technological questions. It requires effective and efficient regulation, coordinated at an international level, and the first steps in this direction have already been taken. Its potential is enormous.
